eBay and Digital Download Policy

I bet that many of you reading this would never have thought of eBay as being the ideal opening to an online marketing career. Most people I talk to regard eBay as somewhere to sell off their unwanted junk - a sort of online yard sale! Little do they know that many people make a more than comfortable living selling on eBay.

For the online marketer eBay has long been seen as the easiest way to start building an email or ezine list. The strategy that has erupted in recent years is to sell digital download items (ebooks or software programs) at exceptionally low cost in order to grab the names and emails of purchasers.

One of the problems that this has caused eBay is an apparent abuse of the Feedback system. By selling 99c items a new eBay trader can become a Powerseller practically overnight, and who’s going to give poor feedback for something costing less than a dollar, even if the goods don’t always match up to the claims made on the sales page?

So, as part of their Feedback clean-up strategy eBay has banned the auction of digital download products.

To say this sent a ripple of horror through the online marketing forums would be an understatement. For many sellers this new policy is being seen as the end of their careers!

Well all I can say is ‘Great’. Because now, at last, the incredible power of eBay marketing is open to sensible marketers. To show you why I’ve prepared a report which outlines exactly how you can use this new policy to your advantage. You can download it, there’s no charge, from here…
